Here's likely the last report from MusicYo for the year:

SALES -> Products are selling well for the holidays, with Steinberger sales at the front of the pack as expected. Next week is usually their busiest, but all things point towards another banner year. They've got ample supply on most of the Spirits. Trying to get consistent stock on the USA stuff, but they're still on the front side of most these products notably the Newburghs, GLBs & XQ's. They should be able to keep consistent stock early next year.

XQ BASSES -> Some final production details/hurdles to get through, but the first new basses (mostly likely the oiled ones) might be ready by end of next week. They are still working through the problems on the translucent basses and should have those up next month.

NEW LINE -> Official announcement & marketing of the new mid-priced line is still planned for first quarter next year. We'll see some instruments show up the end of the quarter, but most will hit early Q2. In addition to the prototype guitar and bass I saw, they will be offering a variety of models & features, including a 6 string bass!
Prices should be in the $500 - $800 range.

NEW WEBSITE -> They are currently working in-house on the new Steinberger.com website. It will be completed before the new line is introduced. They actually plan on us providing the info for older models & collector info, while theirs will focus only on new product.

PARTS -> Still waiting on that supply of parts form Korea – R-trems, gearless tuners, etc. No formal word yet on that potential Zen-On order. That decision will be made Q1 '04.

Since we've now got constant (at least once a week) contact with the factory folks in Nashville, these official MusicYo updates will tend to have less info in them. It's likely I won't have another formal update until after NAMM. As always any status update on product availability (XQ's, parts, etc.) will get posted here immeditately.

Things are proceeding with the next batch of bodies for both the GLB's & Newburghs. Both of these are made at the same Gibson plant (the XQ's are at another). They hope to receive some in two weeks and will build out from there.
