- On Key / Enterprise - Steinberger Sound
Originally aired 9/84
This weekly PBS show profiled various types and sizes of businesses.
This show is an interesting behind-the-scenes look at the struggles the
early Steinberger Sound company faced with the explosive demand for their
creations. A chance to see them in person and in action.
- The Guitar Show
Produced 1988
This program was conceived as a promotional vehicle for Steinberger
Sound and was distributed to all of the Steinberger dealers at the
time. It features discussions and demos with artists like Rick
Derringer, Arlen Roth, Vinnie Zummo and others, as well in-depth interview
segments with Ned on design, feature and performance aspects of his
instruments. A highlight is a detailed demo on how to set up a
TransTrem from Ned himself.
This is a 30 minute video. We have broken the video into several
segments to ease download. Please use the mirror sites listed to ease
the burden on our main download servers.
- CNN News Segment
Originally aired ~1988
A CNN feature segment highlighting the then up-and-coming company.
Features shots of the Newburgh plant & workers in action as well as
comments from Ned.
- Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
Released 1989
The conclusion of the original movie features a scene in which Bill (Alex
Winter) and Ted (Keanu Reeves) are presented guitars from the future - a
pair of Steinberger GP's! It's interesting to note that Steinberger
did not pay for this lucrative product placement, nor surprisingly did they
exploit it's marketing and promotional value.
